Not sure what to say?

Bruce was wonderful so genuinely kind, intelligent, friendly, soft spoken and had a great sense of humor.

Rest in peace Bruce you are loved and deeply missed. It was a pleasure knowing you and having you as a relative. Fly high Angel.

Very saddened to hear of Bruce's passing. Fantastic colleague and friend. Great sense of humor. Remember the bags of M&Ms at administrative meetings. Great guy and exemplary professional.

Bruce was such a wonderful man who would always stop and take the time to "talk". It was a gift of his that always made you feel welcomed into the conversation. I am sorry for the loss to the Thurlow family, and there is no doubt that his legacy lives on.

I met Bruce during my visits to his sons’ homes in Pine Point through his son, John. Bruce was always reserved yet he had a knowledgeable twinkle in his eye. It is said that the apple does not fall to far from the tree, and his son John is a great example of this maxim. Pine Point has sadly lost a leader with the passing of Bruce. Amen

Bruce was a wonderful mentor to me and dozens, or more likely hundreds of others. He was always quick to look on the good side, provide a comfortable chuckle, roll his sleeves up and get to work. He did so much for the Scarborough and Prouts Neck Historical Societies, and constantly found ways to bring people together, and record and share their memories. He will always stand out as one of the best humans I've met. We'll miss you

Bruce and Peggy were wonderful next-door neighbors for many years. He would talk with my two young daughters while working on his lobster traps and while allowing them to pound hundreds and hundreds of nails into his picnic table. My girls would learn from him as the table got heavier. What a great neighbor!

A counseling course Bruce co-taught at UMPG was pivotal to a second career for me. I was able to thank him many years later at a family event at Pine Point. He made a difference in people's lives. A gentleman and a scholar.

We were together in theUMO doctoral program. Bruce was an outstanding person and educator. He had a warm, wonderful human touch. Blessed with endless energy and with Peggy, made them a team that did amazing things. I cannot remember anyone that I admired more.

Randy and Nancy Ray have fond memories of Bruce. We both taught at Cape Elizabeth while Bruce was guidance counselor and then superintendent of schools. He was instrumental in Nancy's being hired as a special education teacher at Old Orchard Beach High School. We send our condolences to Bruce's family.
