Not sure what to say?

After all these years! Thank you, Hilde, for being my boss and my mentor when we worked together at ACRS. Your mentoring and guidance helped me launch a career for the following 31 years with King County. You were indeed a friendly force to be reckoned with. I truly respected you. In 1990, you introduced me to Indonesian cooking and gave me "The Indonesian Kitchen" cookbook, which I am using today, April 24, 2024. The aroma reminds me of our many ACRS picnics and the food you prepared. You're...

I knew Hilde to be a staunch supporter of the values of kindness and inclusiveness. Missed? Certainly. Remembered? yes. Did she help to make the world a better place? Absolutely! To the larger family: I am sorry for your loss.

Gwen and Suzy, I remember your family so well from Des Moines. I'm sorry for the loss of your mom. She was a very sweet lady.

Tante Hilda as she was to my brother and I was the most amazing women, second only to my mom. I loved her like a second mom and she always had her door open to everyone. She was my moms dearest friend. They are now cooking a feast for all in heaven... you will be missed dearly...love you always

Hilde was such a great lady! I loved her sense of humor, her grace and appreciation of beauty, her wisdom, her loving and honorable spirit. Her legacy lives on within her daughters and, indeed, in all of us whose lives she touched. Dance on, Hilde!

I had the good fortune to enjoy her extraordinary cooking and her generosity as a hostess. It was back in my college days, a long time ago now, but I have never forgotten those wonderful meals.

No kinder, gentler, more generous person in the world. Will miss her forever.

"Ik zeg geen grote woorden maar hoop dat een klein gebaar volstaat en dat tranen het verdriet verdunt." Veel sterkte toegewenst in deze droevige tijd aan mijn beide nichtjes Gwen en Suzy met aanhang
