Bruno A. Terkala, 89, a resident of Pocono Lake, PA, passed away, Monday, March 16, 2015, peacefully, at home.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ, September 28, 1925, he attended St. Adalberts, Elizabeth, NJ after which he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served in the Pacific. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Strickland Transportation out of South Kearny, NJ. He was an avid skeet and trap shooter when he won many trophys and awards.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, Anna and Thomas Tyrkala, were his brothers, Michael, Stanley, Walter, John and Joseph.
Surviving is his wife of 62 years, Gloria; sister, Veronica Wojik, Rahway, NJ and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be Saturday, March 21, 2015, at 11:00 am in Maple Hill Cemetery Chapel, 68 E. St Marys Road, Hanover Township, with Reverend James McGahagen, officiating.
Entombment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 10:00 am until time of service at the Chapel.
