I just learned of his passing. My doctor for 25+ years, and like many have also shared, a friend who would spend time with me on a more personal level. He shot straight. Good to read all of the comments here and see that he touched a lot of lives.

I'm just learning this news today and am so sad. Dr. McClelland has been our doctor since we moved here in 2010. He felt like a friend. We were so blessed to be in his care. He always had time, as much as was needed. Was always interested in our life and shared fascinating stories of his. And he always knew the answers to perplexing problems. I've learned a lot from posts here. I didn't know he was only 69, since I knew he'd been practicing so long. Yes, he certainly was one of the...

I have been a patient of Dr McClelland for over 40 years. He has been a friend as well as the best doctor that I have ever known. I will miss him so much! My heart and prayers go out to his family. Rest in peace, sweet man!

I work at Shelby Baptist Medical Center and for a couple of years I would see Dr. McClelland come in, hop on his special mode of travel, a motorized bike and away he and his oxygen tank went on rounds. I was worried about him because he seemed winded but he always said he was fine. He never let anything slow him down. He was a wonderful doctor to my friends and family and will be dearly missed. Praying for his family in dealing with his passing.

Barbara and I are very saddened at the loss of Dr. Mac. He was our doctor for over 35 years. He was as good a friend as he was a doctor. Our deepest condolences to his family and staff.
