Mr. Bryan Orlanda Mitchell entered into rest on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.  Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Baptist Church.  Survivors are his daughter, Taylor Mitchell; son, Jalen Frasher; mother, Annie Lee Mitchell; sister, Rayneica Mitchell Thompson; niece, A'Nysa Thompson; nephew, Treston Thompson; and a host of other relatives.  Mr. Mitchell may be viewed on Monday from 1 to 5 p.m. In lieu of food and flowers please send donations to Good Shepherd Baptist Church Food Pantry.

Dr. Mitchell, I was your student at AMC between 2012-2014 before AMC was declared a 4 year university, before you became Dr., and before you were a Dean. You were very passionate about Biology 1101 and although strict, you only accepted the best. You helped me when I struggled in my studies to move forward and achieve my degree when during that time life was challenging for me. Thank you and I pray that the Most High God brings your family peace.

Praying for the Mitchell Family during this difficult time. Brother Dr. Mitchell was a jewel and will be greatly missed in Alpha and academia.

Please accept our deep condolences on Dr. Bryan Mitchell's untimely death. May his kind and gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Bryan served briefly as the Special Assistant to the Provost in 2023.
