Not sure what to say?

I was an adult piano student of Bryan´s at the Metropolis. He taught me many valuable things about playing and practicing piano pieces, and was a great coach for my efforts in writing four part harmony. Sometimes he would play something I was working on, and I would think to myself the cost of the lessons was worth it just to hear him play. He was a brilliant and patient teacher. I remember when he first started showing symptoms of the disease, but he kept his positive attitude during the...

I am heartbroken to find out about Bryan´s passing. He was the kindest man I knew. He would go to great lengths for any student and their family, and yet he did so quietly and unassumingly. The world is a better place because he was here. Eternal Rest grant unto him

Bryan took a great interest in me as a teenage pianist, and accompanied me endlessly on Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Liszt and other concerti in the 1990s. He was an advocate with high musical intelligence at a time where I needed it most as a young performer. He opened doors for me to gain concerts and brought the highest level possible of integrity to the music and composers. In addition, he was one of the most pleasant people to work with in the industry at a time where political drama and...

I'm so sorry to hear this. I got to know Bryan when we both lived at the Herman Crown dorm in the south loop. I immediately liked him because he was really smart an also open minded. He loved what he did and I liked that. Oddly enough, I'd been thinking about Bryan for a couple months lately, thinking I should reach out on LinkedIn and connect. I wish I had.

I've known Bryan in Chicago for many years, going back to when he and his family were members of our church, the historic Episcopal Church of the Epiphany. A more true gentleman you will not find. Superb musician. He arranged for weekly piano lessons at Chicago Musical College for the inner-city boys in our parish Choir School. A great loss to all who knew him. If there is to be a Chicago memorial service, I would dearly love to participate. Rest in peace, dear brother.

So sorry to hear of your loss, may God Bless you all in this time. Good family means so much.

Brian was a brilliant pianist/musician as well as administrator at Chicago Musical College/Roosevelt University. He had the most pleasant demeanor and was respected by everyone who knew him. He made connections auditioning students from Asia and helped Roosevelt U grow to what it is today. He accompanied for so many people playing at the highest standard. He also worked at Sherwood Music Conservatory. My sincere condolences to the family.

I was in the choir at St johns Chicago when Bryan was music director. Bryan was always upbeat, optimistic and very kind. I will miss him very much. My condolences to the family.

My condolences to Bryan's family. I only knew him a short time after he moved back to our Utopia Beach Club area. He and I worked on many beach club cleanups and he was so critical to making our pool top notch. He will be greatly missed. RIP Bryan
