With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bryan Matthew Willett, 45, of White Lake, Michigan. After a tragic car accident at the age of 5 left him with long-term injuries and the loss of his birth mother, Deborah Anne Willett, Bryan outlived doctors’ expectations by 40 years.
From a young age, Bryan showed his business mind by selling candy out of his book-bag and bragging about his profits. On Saturdays, Bryan would routinely persuade his dad to take him to Sam’s Club to stock up on candy and other “inventory” for the upcoming school week. This led to his later years, when Bryan took over the family business – The Village Place Restaurant.
Those who knew him best remember Bryan’s witty humor, playful personality, and heart of gold. Bryan loved spending quality time with family and friends, traveling, rollerblading, playing golf, shooting pool, and watching sports. He had a particular passion for University of Michigan football and Red Wings hockey. Most importantly, Bryan’s greatest joy came from his four children--Yalena Marie (14), Isabella Ann (12), Lilianna Theresa (11), and Aleksander Matthew (9). Bryan loved spending time with them, spoiling them, and watching them grow. His proudest role was as their Dad. They were what Bryan truly lived for.
In addition to his four children, Bryan is survived by parents Dale and Lois Willett; siblings Michelle (Dave) Adams, Michael (Brooklynn & Pascoe) Willett, and Dale J. Willett; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 9 at The Village Place Restaurant, 5723 Dixie Hwy, Waterford, Mi 48329. The family welcomes you for fellowship at 2:30pm, with a ceremony celebrating Bryan’s life beginning at 3:00pm. Food and refreshments along with a viewing of the University of Michigan v. UNLV game will begin at 3:30pm. Casual dress is required; Maize and Blue attire is encouraged.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made in Bryan’s name to: https://support.mgoblue.com/sports/2019/2/13/ways-to-give or https://leadersandbest.umich.edu/find/#!/give/basket/fund/333320?keyword=football

I am so sorry to learn about Bryan's passing. My heart goes out to Dale and Lois, his siblings, and his 4 children. I will always think of Bryan with good memories as a boss. He had a kind smile and a good heart. He will be missed by those who worked for him as well as his customers. His family will be in my thoughts and prayers for months to come.

Dale, Lois and family. Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences for your loss. I will forever remember my first job , red wing hockey, thanksgiving day parades, and the time spent enjoying the early lessons impressed upon us with similar value for hard work, dedication, impactful life experiences and family. “ Like a shooting star, flying across the room, so fast, so far, gone too soon.” - Simple Plan

Bryan over the last few years we had grown close. All the kind words and offer for assistance when I lost my son. The times when my health was bad and you checked on me. Most people did not know of the big heart ypu had. I will never forget the trust you had in me and you opened up about private things in your life. Oh we had our fights about the restaurant but our piece was said we moved on. I know what your children meant to you and our conversations we had about being parents. I will miss...
