I served with Davis and he was a really nice guy. We were so young. He was a young man who loved the Lord, kept a picture of his wife in his bible and was hoping to be reassigned stateside to be a family.

I want to first give my condolences to the family of Machinist Mate Bryant L. Davis. I wish I could have met Bryant and got to know him. He has been a part of my life for almost 15 years. He has helped me with my Faith in God. I was part of the Battle Group that Bryant was part of. He was on the Kitty Hawk I was on the USS Curtis Wilbur. I was a big part of the Search for Bryant. If you would like to contact me I would like to communicate with you.

To the family of Machinist's Mate Bryant L. Davis:
Please know that just as your loved one remains in your hearts and minds; his sacrifice, and that of your family, remains with the people he died defending. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel for his bravery and selflessness, or the heartache we feel for your loss.
