Chadwick Funeral and Cremation Service, LLC - New London Obituary

Bryant Spencer
1931-2025

Bryant Oliver Spencer, 93 of New London, NH, formally of Weston, MA, passed away peacefully Monday, January 06, 2025 after a brief illness.

Born in Newburyport, MA, Bryant grew up on his family farm in West Newbury which nurtured his love for the outdoors, plants and animals. Serving in the US Army and being stationed in Germany, “the easiest two years of his life”.

Bryant lived in Weston for 70 years of his long life. He was a self-employed landscaping contractor for 47 years and enjoyed being outside in all kinds of weather. He was a member and past president of the Weston Rotary. Bryant was a Boy Scout leader and guided many fun camping experiences for scouts while teaching valuable skills to all.

After retiring Bryant and his beloved wife Ann spent many wonderful years travelling the world. Bryant and Ann also travelled the US extensively in their motorhome, on motorcycles, skis, and hiking making friends wherever they roamed due to his fun-loving personality and quick wit. He loved to share stories of their many adventures.

Children Kate Spencer of New London, NH, Mac Spencer and his wife Cindy of Weston, MA, the late Jon Spencer and his wife D.J. of Palm Coast Florida will forever remember his quick smile and amazing ability to fix anything. Bryant was the brother of the late Vera Spencer, Vivian Wright, Edith Kraulman, Robert Spencer, Idona Spencer and George Spencer.

In his memory he asks that you share your smile and kindness with others.

At Bryant’s request there will not be formal services at this time. Many thanks to the Staff at Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital for their loving gentle care.
