Buck Pace

MOUNTAIN HOME--Buck Pace, age 90, of Mountain Home died Friday, September 19, 2014 at Madison Health and Rehabilitation in Mars Hill. He was born August 4, 1924 in Polk County to the late Lillian Pace Davis and Don Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Pace; his son, Michael Pace; his daughter, Virginia Pace; and his two sisters, Sadie Parker, and Catherine Bagwell.
Mr. Pace retired from Local 150 Plumbers and Steamfitters of Augusta Georgia after many years of employment. After his retirement, he enjoyed traveling to Alaska and Canada for hunting and fishing; he especially enjoyed trout fishing in the Davidson River in Pisgah Forest. He was a member of Naples Baptist Church and he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his two sons, Raymond C. Pace and his wife, Martha, Gary A. Pace and his wife, Ellen; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Shepherd Memorial Park.
