Calhoun City, MS – Buddy Harold Dye, 71, passed this earthly life on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at his home in Calhoun City. He was born in Calhoun County, December 30, 1946. Buddy was a graduate of Calhoun City High School Class of 1964. After his graduation from high school, he served in the Mississippi National Guard from 1965 to 1968. Buddy was a auto body shop repairman, before going to Ratheon of Canton, as a aircraft missile painter before retirement. He was a active member of Calhoun City First Baptist Church. Buddy, enjoyed worshiping with his church family and friends.


He was preceded in death by his father, Doyle Dye, mother, Syble Parker Long Aven. He was a devoted son that assisted his mother’s needs till her death. Buddy was privilege to have two special step-father’s involved in his life, Esker Long and Johnny Aven.


Those left to honor his memory are a son, Jason Dye (Ann), Pittsboro; sister, Billie Jean Webb (James), Oxford; brother, Marion Long, Big Creek; step brother, David Aven (Kathy), Fayetteville, GA and two grandchildren, Kyle and Kane Dye.


A memorial service honoring Buddy’s life be Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel at 5:00 p.m.. Bro. Mike Smith will be delivering the message and eulogy. The Dye family will receive friends one hour prior to service Wednesday, 4:00 p.m. till 5:00 p.m.. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Garden.

Buddy was a member of the Senior Adult Joy Club at First Baptist Church, Calhoun City. He was so helpful at the meetings and very pleasant to have around. We will miss him very much.
