Buford Ray Singleton

Buford Ray Singleton, age 67 of Murfreesboro, died Saturday, October 19, 2013. He was a native of Murfreesboro and the son of the late Lester and Margaret Neal Singleton. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Linda Fay Henard Singleton and brother, Henry Singleton.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Donald Owens will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

He is survived by his sons, Kevin (Cindy) Singleton of Murfreesboro and Chris (Billie) Singleton of Burleson, TX; sisters, Mildred Smotherman of Murfreesboro and Lucy Carmichael of Harpers Ferry, WV; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Mr. Singleton was a US Navy veteran, a butcher and meat department manager with Baltz Brothers. He later became a regional sales and marketing representative with Borden Foods until his retirement.

Memorials may be made to Alive Hospice in his memory.

I just want to say,Buford was a great uncle to me,there has been many times in my life that had been struggles for me and I needed someone to talk to or just someone to cheer me up or make me laugh and Buford and Linda were always there for me no matter what... He was also a wonderful Great uncle to my children (Nickolas,Brooke) and they will truly miss him and so will I..... Unfortunately I was not able to get to his funeral but I did get to talk with Buford on the phone a few days before he...
