Not sure what to say?

One of the last professors I ever met during my time in SNRE, and by far the most memorable. I remember Bunyan as quiet yet shockingly inspiring. He possessed a distinctive, powerful faith in humanity's goodness. He urged us consistently to work towards actualizing that faith in every aspect of what we did.

Here´s to celebrating the life of a great person and as my professor at U of Michigan, Prof Bryant made a difference in my and so many students´ lives. His impact on education through his love of teaching will never be forgotten.

Dr. Bryant was a mentor and constant source of encouragement during my time at SNRE. I did not complete my doctoral studies under his supervision (I started my family instead), but I did earn my PhD a few years ago. I dedicated my dissertation to Dr. Bryant and my family... he will be greatly missed .

RIP Bunyan. Jean, please know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers. It was over 50 years ago that I met you and Bunyan and both of you inspired and encouraged my interest and passion for politics, local, state and national. You both were always voices of reason, using passion to produce positive change for your community and the world. He will be missed and know having lost a loved myself not that long ago, I have walked the journey you find yourself on now.

Bunyan had an immense impact on my life as a grad student in the SNR Environmental Advocacy program in the late 70´s/early 80´s. His Social Change class was amazing, our retreats, being his TA, so many instances and opportunities to learn, grow, experiment and develop skills. The program was transformational for me and it is with deep appreciation for his life and impact that I send out my deepest condolences to his family and friends. May his memory be a blessing for all who knew and loved...

Bunyan was instrumental in opening my eyes to environmental justice issues when I took his Social Change course. That school year and what I learned from him were pivotal in my life. It was so nice to see him in 2012 at the celebration honouring him and his life´s work. I will always remember and cherish his memory with deep respect for his accomplishments and convictions. Deepest condolences to his family. A life well-lived.
