Dear Claire and family,
You are in my thoughts at this sad time. I will always remember Burges as such a vibrant man. My father still speaks with great affection of his many years associated with Burg, and I will never forget my summers working for Putnam.

Dear Clare and family,
I was sad to hear of Burges' passing. Before I left Ct. to begin a singing career in NYC you both were so supportive and helped me through difficult times. I still have fond memories of times spent with SLCO folks and at your home. You both were never far from my thoughts. My heart goes out to you and your beautiful family.
Lovingly,
Barbara Pease Pond
