The clearest image my sister and I have of our mother is one that occurred before we were born. This is how you know Kathleen Burke Forney Hill is a legend, because the memories and stories that flowed from her life became mythical even while she was living. My dad, Skipper Hill, describes the...

Not sure what to say?

Burke was truly a blessing to me from the time I met her at Dermatogy Affiliates. Burke was so real and made you laugh always. Excellent cook and loved her family dearly I will cherish always the time I called myself taking her home, which was a 45 minute drive to developed into an 2 hour drive. Burke and I laughed so hard and I always will keep that beautiful smile in my heart and mind. My condolences to Skipper, Mccalla and Clarke and the complete family. Truly a beautiful legend is gone...

I called her Bird because that´s what the kids called her. I never met someone that I loved instantly. I have not seen her in a long time, but she will always hold a place in my heart.

Burke and I walked to school for 2 years. It was a long trek across a golf course and our feet got wet and covered with grass. Burke always made it fun tho. We would like to have our parents do this walk just once - have their shoes be wet and filthy!! We might have been able to stretch the truth just a little bit "our 5 mile walk rain or shine" but it was always fun with her!!The world is just a little sadder with this ray of fun and sun taken away. I loved hearing about her adult life...

Here is one of my favorite photos of Burke, surrounded by birthday flowers given by her siblings. They fondly share a classic childhood story of her once stealing all of the daffodils from a neighbor´s yard. Burke was a force of nature and one who touched every person she encountered. I will forever miss her kind heart and feisty spirit.

This beautiful remembrance captures exactly who she was and why she mattered so much. I met Curtis while working at Morino Associates and Burke through him. She was one of a kind, for sure. We had a lot of good times back then and it was great to see and host them for the Women's March. For as long as I live, I'll never forget her immortal words: I think I'm finally learning to forgive William Jennings Bryan. Sending love and deepest condolences, and gratitude for having known such a...

She was a force to be reckoned with and my life was enriched by just being her presence. -forever her adoring fan

Knowing and partying with Burke and Skipper in Auburn and Birmigham in the mid 70s and early 80s greatly enriched my life.

My fondest memory of Burke is of her and Skipper doing all the preparation, cooking, and kitchen cleanup for our Oak House sleep-away camp. For three days, they made sure we were fed on time, always greeting us with loving invitations to eat as much as we wanted. You could truly feel that every meal was prepared with care and love. Remarkably, it was their wedding anniversary, and they chose to spend it in service to others. Burke had such a loving spirit, it radiated from her. She will truly...

Awww, Burke, may you rest in perfect peace. Such a brilliant, beautiful soul. I first met Burke back in 2015 when I became her immediate next-door neighbor. You had such a perfect home and an even more perfect heart. The way you, my late father, Diop Williams, and Skipper were inseparable always laughing and getting into craziness will forever stay with me. One moment that will always stick with me is when Diop passed and you and Skipper invited my family and me into your backyard to...
