Not sure what to say?

I loved sitting next to Burl. He gave me his Mandophonic second mandolin book and I treasure it. What a funny, sweet man he was. Dapper always comes to mind. I have one of his little whistles too.

Condolences from the Miles family in Beaverton. We remember Burl and of course Abigail contributing their creativity to our family and business in the 1950s and 1960s.

To Eliza, and other family members: I know you will miss Burl but I hope that your fun and fond memories will sustain you in the days, months and years to come.

I met Burl when I joined the Oregon Mandolin Orchestra in 2011. I always tried to sit next to him because he set such a good example and I knew I could learn from him. In the process, I came to appreciate his humor and wit, his generosity and good will. We stayed in touch even after he left the orchestra. I will miss him.
