My father was Burt Holmes and Chester Cadieux's banker at First National Bank of Tulsa. He shared with us the day that they came to him to finance a business venture - a mini-store concept where people could easily drop in for basic grocery needs like bread, milk, etc that could include a variety of snacks and beverages. My Dad recalled telling them, "Burt, Chester, that's about the dumbest idea I've ever heard but I'll get you the seed money anyway- and QuikTrip was founded.... Thanks Burt...
