My condolences to the Metcalfe family. Burt was a very talented producer of all 11 seasons of the classic TV sitcom “M*A*S*H. Something that the family can continue to cherish over the years. May your loving heavenly Father comfort the family at this time and in the weeks and months ahead.

He starred on the 1960s sitcom “Father of the Bride,” which was based on the 1950 film. He was also on the sitcom “Happy” and made guest appearances on “Perry Mason,” and “The Twilight Zone.” On the big screen, he played a surfer in the 1959 film “Gidget.” He was a producer for all 11 seasons of “M*A*S*H.” He also wrote for the series and was the showrunner the last six seasons

M*A*S*H being my favorite show going back to when I was a kid, and still watching reruns of it nightly, I send positive thoughts and energy to all who knew him, and to all fans of the show, which is still inspiring, and always will be.

Being a relative, I knew Burt since I was a child and was always in awe of him. When I was a teenager he was a movie star and so handsome. Thru the years when I watched M.A.S.H. it always made me smile when I saw his name in the credits. After not seeing him for more than 50 years, I feel blessed to have spent time with him in Feb 2020 (just before everything shut down for Covid) and was looking forward to doing it again this year when I made another trip to California.
