Burt was one of the first people to show up at the hospital when my dad was very sick. (Carl). He told the staff Carl was his brother and got in. He was, in many ways, a brother like no other. Sad to hear this news. On to the next adventure, Burt! Godspeed.

I just heard this very sad news. I knew Burt in our high school years. He was always such a fun loving guy with a good heart! I was able after many years to see him at one of our class reunions. The old gang sat at a table together& we easily picked up where we left off; once we all got reprimanded having too much fun. My deepest sympathies to his family. It was a pleasure to have known Burt. I am sure he is causing a riot up there. Rest in peace Burt; you will be missed by any who knew you!

My deepest, heartfelt condolences to Burt Jr and family, Burt's brothers Otis and Gary, and his closest friends. Thank you for loving Burt for who he was. I was one of the wives that Burt was a Veteran of and I can attest to Burt's adventurous spirit and can-do attitude. Frank Sinatra's song, "I did it my way" comes to mind when I read this well-crafted obituary. Kudos to the author(s).
