Seth and Dale,

Judy and I are so sorry to hear of Burt's passing. He was a great law teacher and a fabulous colleague.

We will miss him.

John and Judy Mixon

Harvey and I were saddened to read in The Times about your loss of Burt. The Brandeis years are now practically history! We were also sad not to be able to share this news with anyone. Sandi Schneider

I would like to extend my condolences to Professor Agata's family and friends. He was my Criminal law professor, and I learned more from him than any other professor, and what I couldn't learn from him he taught me to look up on my own. He taught me self reliance. Something essential to being a lawyer. Thank you, and may your loved ones know you are in a better place. I will never forget you.

Dear Mrs. Agata,

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy
on the loss of your husband. I can not
forget the kindness that both you and
he extended to my late mother, Ruth
Swartz, while she worked for Professor
Agata at Hofstra Law School. My mother
had the greatest respect for him and
spoke highly of his genuine concern for
the students and all his co-workers.
I am sure that the loss of Professor
Agata will be deeply felt among the
whole Hofstra...

Dear Seth. So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Thinking of you, Gail and Adam at this sad time.

So sorry to read of Professor Agata's death, who was a guiding light for me as a law student in 1971. A brilliant scholar, and a kind man.
