Not sure what to say?

I knew and worked for Burt many years ago as a secretary for Delger, Robb and Greenberg. Burt was a wonderful person and I always liked him. We had a lot of laughs. He was much fun to be around. He came to my wedding. Since I live in the Pleasant Hill area, out of the city, unfortunately, we lost touch. I am so sorry he is gone. May he Rest In Peace!

Jim,

My condolences on Burt's passing. I found him to be generous, caring, funny and engaging. I loved the stories he would tell of San Francisco's history from personal experience. Although you both were my landlords I considered you friends due to your warmth and generosity. I will miss him.

Dear uncle Jim, Burt will always be in our memories and hearts he was a big part of our family we always loved seeing him enjoy his raw oysters and eating his fried chicken with a knife and fork !! We had so many adventures and he will always be part of our family love

Dear Jimmy, It is so hard to express how much we will miss Burt. We thought of him as family and loved spending time with you and Burt in New Orleans. Jimmy, we send our deepest sympathy for your loss. Love and Prayers, Jim and Janet

Uncle Jim -

We are so terribly sorry about Burt.

My life was deeply enriched by Burt's stable and loving presence, and he later became extremely special to Brian as well. We feel fortunate to have so many fond memories of our times together.

Burt was an original. We will remember him for his unflappable, inimitable nature and the many kindnesses he showed us and others around him.

We are here for you.

Much love,
Chris and...

Dear Jim,

Please accept my sincere condolences.

I remember Burt as not only a very generous, responsible, and kind landlord but as a caring upstairs neighbor. My time living in your building was so enhanced by the kindness that both of you showed me. He will be missed.

May he rest in peace.

Uncle Jimmy, I am so sorry for your loss. My heart, love & Prayers are with you. Grief is hard. I know, my parents & grandparents - you get though it, but never get over it. Sending love & prayers. Rhonda

number of years ago I saw Burt at a fundraiser for the Sisters of the Presentation, too. Good man. RIP. Kaaren Alvarado
