Not sure what to say?

A wonderful friend for nearly 50 years. He so often shared about his family and reveals that he was a wonderful spouse, father, grandfather, co-worker and friend to many. The family is so blessed to have had 97 years with this kind soul.

Growing up in Ann Arbor in the 60´s, the south side "new" neighborhood of Ann Arbor Woods was a fantastic place to be: new, family sized, homes attracted a great many wonderful families that were generally of similar age with lots of kids. And most of them planted roots in that neighborhood and stayed a long time. The Voss family was one of these. Friendly, active in the neighborhood, involved and smart. Burt and Jackie raised great kids, were outgoing and involved in the neighborhood and...

Dear Voss family, I am so saddened to hear about Prof. Burt Voss' death. Many years ago (1978-1986) I was a secretary in the Blue Carpet area in the School of Education. In the offices were Burt Voss, Malcolm Lowther, Milan (Mike) Marich, Edwin (Mac) McClendon, Carl Berger, Joseph (Joe) Payne and Art Coxford. Later Karen Wixson was there as well. I loved working for them all and I considered them an extension of my family. Nearly all of them attended my wedding and were supportive of the...

Burt's full and rich life continued at Glacier Hills, where he came to live alongside a couple of his Michigan Senior Olympic Basketball Team winners, including the Coach! At Glacier Hills, Burt served on Foundation boards, on the Glacier Hills Board of Directors, and as President of the Residents Association, a recognized Hall of Famer. He will be respected and loved by the community at large and will be sorely missed.

What a great man, now reunited with his amazing Bride (RIP Jacoba). The world needs more people that can live by the Rotary 4 Way Test. RIP Burton, you raised some wonderful men.

My sincere condolences to the Voss family. Dr. Voss was such a wonderful Professor to work with at the SOE. A true gentleman.
