Not sure what to say?

Just learned that Burl had passed away. We went to the San Francisco College of Motuary Science together and lived at Martin Brown Funeral Home on Van Ness Street. I was a little younger than him and on 21st birthday bought me my first legal drink...I had come of age. I finished school before him and returned to Oregon. I remember him and one of the nicest people I ever met. He had a great sense of humor. You were fortunate to have him as Dad. I will miss him.

What a wonderful friend and gentleman. From the carefree days at Chico State, through the sorrows of losing our loved ones, Burlie was there to share in our joy and cushion our hearts in sadness. May his family find peace in all he so generously gave to others.

Damon:

I was so sorry to learn of your father's passing. Please know that Kim and I will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Damon and Patty, we are so sorry for your loss. He always said he loved Patty like a daughter . You made him very proud Damon.

I recall. Burl as a quiet gentle guy in high school ..... he and his father buried just about all of my relatives with the exception of my parents ..... he was a consummate professional in his chosen field ..... I last saw Burl at the funeral of my Aunt Elizabeth Yank in the summer of 1985 ...... hair on the sides a bit gray, , but still the same great guy I knew in elementary & high school ..... RIP friend .....!!!!!

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

My condolences to the Ullrey Family. My Dad and yours were lodge friends, Shriners, and many other activities. He took care of both of my parents funerals with so much love and compassion. May God wrap his loving arms around you and help you find peace at this time.

Sincere condolences to Burleigh's family. His parents, Burwell and Loretta were not only relatives, but double dated with my mother and father, Roy and Katherine Goodman. Burleigh was an honorable man and a fond cousin. He served the community through Ullrey's Chapel with pride and dignity. Our very best to you and yours,Damon.

I remember him well, first as he grew up in the Robinson/Franklin neighborhood, later as the funeral director who oversaw my mother's services. My condolences to his family.
