Not sure what to say?

Uncle Buryl was my favorite Uncle. I remember the backyard, boxers, and homemade ice cream, Aunty Mary´s pies and my beautiful cousins. Being 14 years younger than Linda, I used to dress up in their full slips using them as dresses and do fashion shows for Aunty and Uncle Buryl. When my mother died, they were the family that comforted me and helped me know I wasn´t alone. My dad took us away from them for 9 years before I could contact them. I looked up Battelle in the phone book and found...

I was a "fresh faced"young deputy assigned to the Branch Jail (Theo Lacy) and I recall Lt. Battelle taking the time to give me some advice and coaching. Good administrator but an even better man.

Grampa, there are no words to express the sadness I feel at the loss of you in my life. You have always been my hero. Your honor and integrity is what made you such an awesome man and is what I aspire for. In my selfishness, I want you here with me, now. But in my heart, I know that you are with our Saviour and I am thankful for that. You will be missed Grampa and this Christmas will be difficult without you. I love you Grampa. Please give my love to mom and Grama.

Abuelo, I miss you soo much and there is a huge hole in my heart now that you're not here. I'm so eternally thankful to have had you in my life, as well as my families. Bella & Rory will forever carry your wisdom, love and respect with them in their hearts forever. I love & miss you with all of my heart.

xoxo forever,

I miss my Grandpa Buryl so much. It was a pleasure to have him live with us. My family is sad to have him gone, but we know we will see him again soon. The lessons of life will always be remembered and cherished. We love you.

Daddy, you are my Champion! You gave me unconditional love for 66 years, while your example guided my life. You always had a positive outlook on life. Your love, honesty, and courage touched the lives of all who knew you. The depth of my sorrow at your passing cannot be measured, but I know the angels are rejoicing. It was my immense honor to be your daughter.

I worked for Buryl as a young Deputy Sheriff at the Theo Lacy facility. Great boss and a very classy guy. All who knew him will miss him.

Grandpa, You are so strong and courageous for enduring the illnesses and life struggles you have had in the last 20 years. I wish I could have been there with you. I am so grateful for the time I had with you. I'll see you again someday, Thank You Jesus!!! Love ya Papa Buryl!!!

Papa, you are the strongest man I have ever known! Your constant love and affection for me is overwhelming. Your life's accomplishments speak volumes of the type of character and candor you had. I love you so much always will papa. I love you!
