Not sure what to say?

To the Batthauer Family: I can't tell you how heavy hearted I feel since I heard of Byron's passing. A better boss I could never have had. My daughters remember him with such fondness and especially Autumn who I would bring in to work before "bring your kid to work day" was ever thought of! She'd write on the blackboards and crawl under the desks and hide--hoping Byron would find her hiding place. I am so glad we talked back this Spring all those weekends and the pictures he sent of your...

We have known the Batts ( as we called them) for many years in the Cleveland area and have so many fond memories. Our kids went to school together & he & Bill, who passed away two years & one day before Byron, loved to get on their political soapboxes. I hope they can continue this in a happier place. Byron was a great guy and will be missed so much by all who knew him.I can still hear his little "giggle". Love ya, Byron

Please accept my condolences. I worked with Byron at the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio for many years. His dedication to his job and enthusiasm was surpassed by no one. He will be remembered by all who worked with him, and it was a pleasure and honor to be his associate.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I went to school with Byron and worked with him when he worked for the Highway Commission in Hutchinson. He was indeed a first class person and one who I was proud to have known.
