In have now upgraded to Extra Class and owe it all to his encouragement and love of our shared passion, radio. So sorry for your loss. Please know that the memories I have of him as my favorite Chief Engineer are everlasting.

I met Retired Chief Engineer Byron Swanson approx 30 years ago at KEX. He was a very nice person. My condolences to Byron´s family.

Heartfelt condolences to all family members. I had the honor and pleasure of working with Byron during his time as Chief Engineer at KEX. He became my respected friend and mentor. Indeed, he encouraged me to get my ham radio license which I cherish to this day. I miss him very much.
