Not sure what to say?

Dr Ellett was a great major professor for me at Ohio State. I admired his interests in plant diagnostics and learned a great deal with him as a mentor at Ohio State. He will be sorely missed as a professional and colleague in plant pathology.

Mary,
You are in my thoughts and prayers. I knew time was dwindling, but it always comes as sad news.
I will pray for your comfort and peace as you work through each day.
You are my friend, and I only wish you and your family well.

With Love,
Connie

Uncle Wayne will be dearly missed. However, like Greg already mentioned, the memories always be there: long sessions of ping pong, his comments about each and every bird and plant in he and Sissy’s magic back yard, playing in the park and stream just below the house, the greenhouses at Ohio State, woods trekking for mushrooms (with Wayne especially emphasizing the toadstools), and many many more. Within each memory, a gem of Wayne’s being.

Dear Mary - My deepest sympathy to you. I remember Wayne with mcuh admiration and affection, and cherish the memories of hikes together, Botany associations, and just plain friendship. My love to you. Marya

Dear Uncle Wayne-I will always remember what a gentleman he was, so soft spoken- a very gentle, kind man.He was always ready for a walk with that ever present camera.I have only pleasant memories and will miss him greatly. Love Margaret

My grandfather of 39 years, I will miss his wisdom, his smile, and his sense of humor. He was my friend and "buddy". It was truly an honor to have him in my life, and to teach me so many things. He will be missed in the physical sense, but his memory will live on around me. I love you, grandpa!

Mrs. Ellett,

I was so very sorry to hear of Dr. Ellett's passing. It was always a pleasure to see him in the Plant Pathology Department. He was already emeritus faculty when I came to OSU so I did not have the opportunity to work with him, but I enjoyed our discussions on mushrooms and plants. He always willing to teach and share his knowledge. He will be mourned and missed by many.

Dear Mary,
I was so sorry to hear, in church on Sunday, of Wayne's passing. We go back a long way and I'm sorry we have lost another good person. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Lynne Hobstetter
