Not sure what to say?

Just learning of John's passing - very sad to hear this news. Grew up in Delmont and have nice memories of going to John's shop with my dad. I hope his family is comforted by how many people appreciated him & his work. A very, very nice man.

Marsha and family, so sorry to hear of John's passing. May John rest in peace. May God wrap His loving arms around all of you at this time.

I was deeply saddened to learn of John's passing. He was of course my barber for several years. It was always a pleasure to come into the shop and catch up on the goings on in Delmont with him and Dave. My deepest sympathies go out to Marsha and all the family.

I moved to the area in 1973 as an engineer for Westinghouse in Blairsville. I Relocated to the Delmont area in 1975 and became a customer of John, for approximately 45 years, John has cut my hair. John would always inquire about how my wife and Son was doing and he would update me on Marsha was doing as well as Krista and Jessie. John was an asset to the Delmont area and will be greatly missed. I pray that Our Lord Jesus will provide comfort for the family as they grieve the loss of John. ...

We have only lived out here for three years and the first time I walked into the barber shop he welcomed me like he knew me for years. He will be missed even the teasing of my wife, about her cutting grass. He stopped at the house when I had surgery and offered to cut my hair. We are deeply sorry for your loss.

John's Barber Shop is one of Delmont's gems, a classic "small-town America" business, complete with a traditional barber pole, right across the street from the Post Office and the Bank, and next to a Pizza Shop. Dave, we thank your for continuing your father-in-law's long-established shop, with the waiting room's great assortment of magazines and tasteful decor.

My sympathy to John's family. He was a good and kind man. When my husband passed from cancer, John would sit on the bench outside of the shop and talk to me. He gave me words of wisdom to get through the bad time.

Jessie - We are so sorry to hear about your Dad. He was such a neat guy. We were very lucky to have known him. We will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time.

May Marsha and family be comforted in knowing that John will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was not only a great barber with the highest standards but also his business is a cornerstone in what has made Delmont a great place. He was blessed with a fine son-in-law who continues the business, carrying on the professional tradition that John was known for. May John's spirit be soaring with the angels. Joe & Sheila Krill
