Richard was a great friend of our family. He has been around me most of my life, he made my childhood a wonderful time in my life. Listening to ball games and taking us to several fun places, he had a very positve influence on me and I will miss him alot. He was a great man, who touched people more than anyone could know. Richard was my classmate at Cathedral Grade School in St.Joseph;we graduated together in 1944. He graduated from Christian Brothers High School in 1948. Richard and I reconnected about three years ago and would call each other with news about mutual St.Joseph friends. Last call from him, Richard said he was in a rehab center and a biopsy would be done to see if he had a malignancy. His sister was with him;she was very good to Richard.
