C. Winifred Nelson

The Society of Mareen Duvall Descendants extends its sympathy to all the family of our member Winifred Nelson. Mareen Duvall of Middle Plantation emigrated circa 1650 to Anne Arundel County Maryland just west of Annapolis. Mrs. Nelson is descended through his daughter Susannah, born in 1677, who married Col. Robert Tyler. The Tyler line has many well known American descendants such as President Harry S. Truman, Dick Cheney, and Warren Buffet. Winifred's son Greg is also a long time member...

My sincerest condolences to all the family of Winifred Nelson. She played a big part in my life . I was most concerned when this was the first Christmas I had not received news from her.
She was a wonderful friend to our family and most beloved as a great Coos Bay neighbor

As a new Oregon State Ombudsman assigned to the Carman Oaks Assisted Living facility, Mrs. Nelson was one of the first people I talked to there.... that was just a couple of weeks ago. Mrs. Nelson's door was open, so I asked if I could come in and explain the Ombudsman program. We had a nice conversation; she was a very pleasant person. My condolences to the family.
