Not sure what to say?

Meredith - deep condolences to you, losing Bill. He was always so friendly whenever I ran into the two of you after our museum years together. You both contributed a lot to Portland over the years.

Meredith, our sons, Ted and Ben, took a liking to each other in the summer of 1979 and we had a few play dates with each other. We didn't continue the relationship since the boys went to different schools. Now I see Bill has passed away quite suddenly. I'm so sorry. My husband died 14 years ago after a struggle with kidney cancer. I've been living at Terwilliger Plaza for 13 years now. I'm thinking about all of you and send love from my family to yours. Yes, I remember the day It was on the mourn That I saw a ship a sailing The sea was calm The winds were fair Home port was nigh Bill still young And at the rail With shipmates once again.---rs

Bill was one of our group of 5 best friends from grade school in Hinsdale which continued our whole lives. We had just texted each other on his birthday Jan 3.He was classmate and former boyfriend of my wife Jan. He was a great friend and we both have wonderful memories of our times together. May the LORD comfort Meredith and family during this time.. Love, Jan and Al

A wonderful friend and fellow hiker has passed away and we will sorely miss him. Good to have known you Bill!

Single Memorial Tree

Bill was a high school classmate and fellow mechanical engineer. Jane & I enjoyed visiting with Meredith & Bill several times when our travels took us to Portland. He lived life to the fullest - such as sea kayaking in Iceland only a few years ago.

Meredith---I was so sorry to hear about Bill's death. "Nice" is such a mild adjective, but he was one of the nicest. And kind & witty & adventurous, as well. Our sympathies for his loss.
