Not sure what to say?

We knew Leonard and his wife Annabelle through our attendance at the ESSEX annual reunion. They became good friends and we looked forward to meeting them each year. We are proud to call him a friend. He was truly a fine sailor, a credit to the US Navy he served so well.

Leonard was a celebrity at YMCA Camp Carson. At last year's 75th anniversary celebration he was asked to speak. He said something like "They just asked me to make a few comments. We met several times over the years in passing at camp. How wonderful it is that he made an impact there throughout his life.
Goodbye, Mr. Schlamp.
