C.B. Baird Jr.

My heartfelt condolences to the Baird family on the loss of Mr. Baird. He was certainly the force & backbone of J.P. Moore. As a student I remember he seemed very tall & a little intimidating. But once he smiled & started speaking he was so caring that all fears fell away. My mother, Bettye Hejl, was on PTA & always had nothing but kind words about him. Sincere sympathies to the Baird Family. I remember Mr. Baird well. I moved to Fort Worth in the early part of 5th Grade at JP Moore where he was principal in 1965. I remember he escorted my me and my mom to the new class where I was assigned. I remember that he seemed so very approachable and kind. I loved everything about that school and the people there. He left behind an amazing legacy for sure.

Craig and all the Baird family, my heartfelt condolences go out to you all. Your dad was a terrific man and a wonderful principal. Coming from Saint Andrew in the 60 to public school I never expected a kind and friendly principal. Prayers offered for all at this tough time.
