Not sure what to say?

I am sorry that this is so late. I worked with Dr. Courtney back in the 1970's and early 1980's in the operating room at then Riverside Hospital before moving to Florida and absolutely loved this man as a person and a surgeon. I am sure everyone that knew him felt the same way. RIP

Faye, I just saw the obituary for your husband and am heartbroken. As a young pharmaceutical representative in the early `70´s, Byrd took me under his wing and was so kind to me. He was an unbelievable surgeon, a friend to many, a good husband and father. My thoughts and prayers go out to you, Christy and family. Phil Boling

Faye,
I’m so sorry to hear of C.B.’s passing. I treasure the good times we shared with your family. Keeping you in my thought and prayers.

CB was a good friend and excellent surgeon, he was missed when he retired and will be missed.. john mattern

My deepest condolences to the Courtney family.

Dearest Ames family, Greatly saddened to hear about the passing of your Uncle. He knew that you loved and adored him. Holding you all in my prayers. RIP Dr. Courtney.

So sorry to hear about your loss. You know that God and Jesus are in the best position to comfort us when we lose a loved one in death.

My Dad Tom Caldroney loved CB. They were both such characters and played pranks on each other often. Another special man leaves us

He was a fine surgeon and a really good man. I worked with him on many days in the OR at Riverside Regional Medical Center
