Farewell to Mort -- he had it all, from leadership to caring for so many people. My family knew his, and one of my early recollections is of concern about the formidable Bishop Brothers of Riverdale football. World War II made us all go in different directions, but in later years, Mort and I became farm neighbors along the Willamette River in Newberg. I am very saddened to have received a phone call today from Portland telling me of Mort Bishop's passing.
He was a very kind, considerate and comforting gentleman.
I was hired by Mort Bishop in 1969.
