C. RYLAND MEADE

MEADE, C. Ryland, 69, of Lorida, Florida, formerly of Richmond, Virginia, passed away of Agent Orange related liver disease on September 29, 2012. Born February 1, 1943 in Chase City, Va., Ryland was an accomplished musician and singer, and a United States Army veteran who served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isabelle H. and Claude T. Meade, formerly of Varina, Va.; and his oldest brother, Ronald A. Meade, formerly of Gloucester, Va. Ryland is survived by his wife, Karen T. Meade of Lorida, Fla.; sons, R. David Meade and Donald W. Meade (Wendy); and granddaughters, Jordan Meade and Evy Tumbleston; sister, Donna Dean Stevens (Jayson); and four brothers, Philip M. Meade Sr. (Monica Hudgins), Curtis P. Meade (Sara Williams), Danny L. Meade (Patty Pettus) and Christopher D. Meade (Roberta Jones); sister-in-law, Sandra P. Meade; and several nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation with family at 3:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 11220 Nuckols Road, Glen Allen, Va. 23059. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the outpouring of sympathy they've received, and to Good Shepherd Hospice House of Sebring, Fla., for their love and care during Ryland's final days.
