Dear Alice,
It was good to finally meet you. I'm sorry I wasn't able to meet your children, Christopher and Allison and tell them how much their father meant to my mother. Our family sends our deepest sympathy.

A collective expression of condolence from several of us who attended Westwood High School in the 70's. We remember Mr Swezey as a kind and gentle man who had time for any student.

Gene was my cousin and a very, very sweet, gentle man. He was always smiling and just had nice things to say about everyone! I am sorry that he is gone and my sympathy goes out to Alice, Christopher, Allison and all who knew him.

Its sad to see the Swezey family historian has left us. Gene put down in words what many of us took for granted in putting the Swezey family lineage together so many years ago. Now it is a gem to those of us who have started to have interest in our heritage. Its a shame it took us so long. Gene will be missed dearly.
