I knew Cal from our days working at IBM in Iselin, he worked the orders and movements desk if I recall. He was a good guy; always willing to help the newbie's like me. I met him once after he retired at an orchestra rehearsal at Manalapan High School in the mid nineties. Cal was there with one of his adopted or foster daughters who played the tuba. He was devoted to the children that he helped. He used to talk about Korean cabbage called "kimcie" (I don't think that is spelled correctly.) ...
