Not sure what to say?

A wonderful musician who accomplished a lot in his musical career, also having played on Ronnie Lane's "See Me" album in which he was among several noted and accomplished musicians including Eric Clapton. Loved by many he will be sadly missed.

Saw Cal playing with Kevin Ayers on a BBC archive from 1973. What a top guitar player on "Shouting In A Bucket Blues" - check it out on You Tube. All 3 on there Kevin,Archie, now Cal all gone - sad loss. Heartfelt good wishes to Cal & Yvonnes family x

Condolences to the whole Batchelor family on your loss. You are in my thoughts.

Sad news. I first knew Cal from Grade 11 French class at OBHS where he usually arrived fashionably late. The next year my good friend,Philip Linfield, joined Cal's band, Take Four, as its vocalist. The last time I saw or heard from Cal was at a concert at London's Roundhouse in 1970 or 1971 when Phil and I were stunned by the sweet sounds emanating from the twin lead guitars of Cal's band Quiver. Much better than Country Joe McDonald who shared the bill. Condolences to all who knew and loved...

My deepest sympathies to Yvonne and Cal's family. Yvonne was a colleague and friend for many years, and I will always remember our many adventures (including the balcony night at Harbour Towers)together. May Cal forever be crooning sweet love to you, my dear friend ... With love and hugs, Sharon

Sending deepest sympathy to the family. I knew Cal when he played with the Take Four and he was a great musician.
