Calvin was born on April 18, 1930 and passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and attended Emory University, where he graduated in 1952. Calvin entered the U.S. Army as a chaplain in 1956, and served in numerous assignments in the United States and overseas, to include combat service in Vietnam. Funeral services will be conducted on August 23, 2019 at the Davis Funeral Chapel in Leavenworth, Kansas, followed by burial with full military honors at the Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery.

Ever since I have known Cal as a chaplain myself, and as Director of Chaplaincy Ministries in KC I have so admired him for his extraordinary ministry to our Lord and the church.I send my heartfelt condolences to you and your family.Cal was an extraordinary chaplain and our church should be proud and thankful for his loyalty and love for his great ministry representing our denomination.
