Grew up a couple of years behind Calvin in Benton, went to LA Tech behind him and served at the same time with the USMC in Vietnam. We had a brief and improbable encounter at Dong Ha in 1968. For a few minutes, it was so reassuring and comforting to see him, at that time and place. I never forgot it, for he was a friend. My condolences to Calvin's family and friends.
