Calvin Russell Hubbard Jr.
Calvin Russell Hubbard Jr., 59, of 7314 Quail Ridge Drive, Charlotte, N.C., departed this life Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006, at his residence. He was the son of the late Calvin R. Hubbard Sr. and Mrs. Ersie Turner Hubbard. He was the husband of Mrs. Jacqueline Saunders Hubbard.
He was a 1965 graduate of Dunbar High School and he graduated with honors from Piedmont Aviation School in Winston-Salem, N.C. He retired from the U.S. Airways.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Eva "Lynn" Young (John), Mrs. Lisa H. Howell (Byron), Ms. Tracie J. Taylor and Ms. Natahlia Hubbard, all of Charlotte, N.C.; one brother, Brian Hubbard (Andrea) of Mitchellville, Md.; one sister, Ms. Marjorie H. Vick of Washington, D.C.; four grandsons; three granddaughters; a mother-in-law, Mrs. Marian B. Saunders of Lynchburg; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006, at A.S. Grier Chapel, 115 N. Cloudman St., Charlotte, NC 28216, with the Rev. David Stewart officiating.
Memorial contributions can be sent to Urban Ministries Center in memory of Calvin R. Hubbard Jr., 935 N. College St., Charlotte, NC 28206.
