Calvin Samuel McCamy

Cal and Mabel were next-door neighbors for a few years and close personal friends for over 30 years. They were like a third set of grandparents for my three children. The children were delighted with lessons about Cal's camera collection and Mabel's epicurean delights. We lost touch when Cal and Mabel left New York, and I moved to North Carolina over 20 years ago. They were two of the most extraordinary people I have had the good fortune to have had in my life, and I have missed them...

Cal was my color science mentor. He was not only a brilliant and talented scientist, but a fine human being as well. It was an honor to have known him.

I knew Mr. McCamy from working in NY. He was a most brilliant and talented human being. The kind of person that made one feel you were a better person having known him. I will miss his Christmas letters.
