He was the best, by far. When i went in to see him, he always asked how my daughter and husband were doing. Always by name. He spoiled me as far as doctors go. There will never be another.

Dr. Shaffer was one of the kindest and most knowledgeable doctors I was ever treated by. I was a patient of his for years and he was always so friendly and caring. I'm so sorry to hear about his passing. My mother, sister and I were all very fond of him.

I remember Dr. Shaffer from the Lloyd Noland Hospital days. I am a Paramedic who transported patients to the E.R. He was a caring doctor and nice man. I hope he is resting in peace. May God comfort his loved ones always.

Dr. Shaffer was truly one of the brightest and best physicians I've ever known. He has been sorely missed since his retirement. We pray for his daughter, grandson and other family members as they cope with his loss. Heaven is a little brighter with him there.

Dr. Shaffer was my doctor for many years. I loved him and felt blessed to have him as my physician. He was an experienced professional, very thorough and passionate about caring for all of his patients. I went to his retirement reception in April, 2010 and like many others I was very disappointed that he would not be practicing medicine after that ceremony. Dr. Shaffer was my sister's doctor and she truely loved him. He was so good to her it broke her heart when he retired. I pray for God comfort his family in this time of sorrow.

Dr. Shaffer was my doctor from 1982 in Huffman/CenterPoint until he retired. Always attentive and kind. Sorry to hear of his passing. May his family and friends recall great memories in this time of loss and sorrow.
