I was fortunate to have Cal as my pastor when I was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Syracuse. He was a superb and gifted preacher, with depth, passion, conviction, and creativity who illuminated the faith, and helped it come alive for me. I became a better person and a more confident Christian. He was my beloved pastor; spiritual mentor; and dear friend until his passing. I grieve much.

Cal was my minister at Gates Presbyterian Church, Gates, NY. He was a kind and caring minister and his sermons were discussed long after he preached them. My condolences to his family!
