Not sure what to say?

I didn't know Cal, but my husband worked with him, I believe, in the fifties and I have a painting of his that someone might be interested in.

Dear friend, Calvin Wolfgang . . . Thanks for the memories and good times. They've been more than 40 years in the making:

The adventures in Florida: ABC Tournament in Miami, fun and games with Dean in Lauderdale at The Jolly Roger (the flamingos were never the same), and The Banyan Club with Sergeant Terrazzo, and . . ., Pompaaano Beach, and more. Much fun and games.

The Bender lunches and classic mural, the Repository friends, and Reunions.

Members of Artists of Rubber City extend their condolences to friends and family of Calvin.

I first met Cal when I started working at O'Neil's. The two of them are inseparable in my mind. O'Neil's and Pat and Mike's! I love the line in his obituary noting that Cal was an enigma: the more you knew him, the less you seemed to know him. I think he loved that! My wife and I moved to Chicago 13 years ago but we always stayed in touch with Cal, and we loved his Christmas cards every year with the little clues he planted in them. Wonderful man. I stumped him once with some old-movie...

CAL,I STILL HAVE A PAINTING YOU DID FOR ME BACK IN 1980,WHEN I WORKED AT SIR MICHAEL'S.I SEEK ARTIST AS FRIENDS AND WITH YOU I FOUND, A GREAT AND FUNNY ONE.[THE BEST KIND]

Cal,

You were my favorite bar customer. I will always remember Haig and Haig, smelly cigars, and our wonderful friendship.

Your favorite barmaid, Terry

Hi, Calvin,

Nearly 60 years ago I sat next to you in several classrooms at Buchtel High School. Haven't seen you since, Calvin, but I recall with great clarity and joy your personality. I wish I had saved one or two drawings you gave me. I saw (even me) the creative ability oozing from your fertile imagination and I shared, still share, your wacky humor and presence. Thanks for your kindness and camaraderie. Skeezix.

Offering our deepest condolences during this time.
