Calvin L. Wright

I knew Calvin well, growing up in Centerville, Iowa. He was a good guy, very likeable, a terrific singer and banjo layer, a prodigy. He was older than I but we were good friends. I saw little of him after he left Centerville and went to work in Moline. I hope he had a life filled with joy. To get our spending money, sometimes Calvin, still a young teenager, would go to the local tavern with his banjo and play and sing, and I would pass the hat.

Cal was my friend and neighbor for over fifty years . A gentleman in every sense of the word , charm and wit a real special person , he will be missed by all

Calvin was my neighbor for almost 20 years , couldn´t ask for a better neighbor great guy always smiling, we told lots of stories standing at the fence over the years, I will miss that the most Condolences to all the family
