Cameron Rae Pope 36 years old of Cape Girardeau, MO. passed away in his home on Monday June 17, 2024. He was born December 19, 1987 to Teresa Lynn Reece Pope of Sikeston MO. and James Dale Pope of San Francisco, CA. Cameron grew up in Sikeston, MO. He graduated high school in 2006 and attended Southeast MO State University. He had been employed at Verdesion Life Sciences in Cape Girardeau, MO.


Cameron always had a big contagious smile, he loved skateboarding, dogs, music, dancing, and sports. His favorite team was the San Francisco 49’ers. He would help anyone in need and very loyal and loving to his family. He is survived by his mother, Teresa Reece Pope; father, James Pope; maternal grandmother, Jean Steele Reece; aunts Kathy Reece Hill and Dawn Reece Dooley; uncles, Roger Dean Reece Jr., and Mike Pope. Special cousins, Bryce Baker, Casey Castaneda, Sydney McKinley, Heidi, Bethany, Tara, Leslie, Heather, and his beloved dog, Doja.


Preceding him in death was his maternal grandfather, Roger Dale Reece, paternal grandmother, Ethyl Pope, uncles, Mark Pope and Doug Pope and cousin, Cody Baker.


Graveside service will be 1 p.m., Friday, June 21, 2024 at Stevens Cemetery in Malden, MO with Pastor Steven Paul Koerner of Trinity United Methodist Church of Bloomfield, officiating the service.


Pallbearers are Fred Carroll, Dawn Reece Dooley, Casey Castaneda, Ronnie Tracy, Bryce Baker, and Chris Schaefer.


Landess Funeral Home and Crematory in Malden are in charge of the arrangements.
