This is 2025 just ran across the announcement of your passing. Rest well until the blowing of the final trumpet.

I called him "Daddy!" My best friend, Pam, and I grew up in the same neighborhood; we learned how to drive together; got cars from our parents together; and lived a blessed and wonderful life as an "only child!" "Dad" parented me as if I was one of his own. I have many wonderful memories that I will treasure always!!

Surely a man on honor and dedication to duty. I completed my teacher training under his leadership. He also inspired me to serve as well. Well done my friend.

Mr. Wells I will never forget your kindness and quiet strength. Thanks for all the countless students you helped from Texas Southern University! Rest peacefully and eternally in the loving arms of God your savior. Amen.

What a wonderful life Colonel Wells lived. I only experienced a brief slice of his dedicated time here on Earth and I can attest his time was well spent. He left us better than he found us.

I served as chief appraiser of the Harris County Appraisal District during Cameron's service on the district's board of directors where he represented HISD. We shared much in common because of his long military service in the Army Reserve from his he retired as a colonel and mine as a former citizen soldier and retired commanding general of the Texas State Guard.
