Your Mom was a delightful woman and will truly be missed by her neighbors, here in Point-O-View...especially at our ladies summer "pool" lunches. It was such a treat to run into her, somewhere, shopping...or in the neighborhood...always greeted with a pleasant smile. Now we will celebrate her and be grateful we had her in our lives.. Camille Babcock, mom, was born February 22, 1929 in what is now Harlem. Her mother, Mary, was a first generation American, born to Italian immigrants. Her father Francis was an Italian immigrant who entered the United States through Ellis Island.

Mom's early life was that of poor Italian immigrant family living through the Great Depression. Yet they were wealthy in family, friends, and love.

Francis worked in bottling plant and then on a trash collection crew. Francis died...
